Burgess Cottage
| Burgess Cottage is located 8 km west of Cobblestones on Bob’s Lake. This is the Cobblestones’ proprietor’s private cottage and is occupied by the proprietor most of the season. However, it is occasionally available by special request for a few weeks total each season. Like Cobblestones, Burgess Cottage is a local heritage property, constructed as an Ohio entrepreneur’s hunting and fishing cabin in the 1930’s. Two downstairs bedrooms each with double beds, and an upstairs loft with four singles, sleep a total of eight occupants. The upstairs loft really is most suitable for children only, owing to the narrow staircase. A Bunkie with kitchen and a bunk-bed sleeps three. The property is filled with character —period trophies and decorations, local artwork, stained glass created by the previous owner, a beautiful stone fireplace and outdoor fire-pit, separate stairway to a dormer window for a once-cherished cat, level waterfront, and lots of dockage. A galley kitchen and single bathroom hold all amenities. Barbecue included. Guests declare upon entering, “This is a real cottage.” Located on a scenic bay, southwest-facing, direct access to a large, fish-filled, fun-filled lake. Shore is sandy-bottomed, great swimming. Usage of two kayaks and small motor boat included (users supply fuel.) Rental fee:
